After 10,000+ projects over the past fifteen years, we’ve developed a process that works.
Our approach to bookings is designed to create the best possible scenario for our writers and designers to deliver strong, inspired work—quickly and efficiently.
Our creatives are typically booked from 9am to 7pm in their local time zone.
Writers generally deliver an initial full draft within one working day, with additional time booked for revisions as needed.
For visuals, we plan for one full day of visual research and one full day for an initial layout, with additional time for revisions when schedule and budget allow.
Our designers work in InDesign or your preferred software, and we always share working files at the end of each booking so your team can handle last-minute adjustments before submission.
We recommend using familiar layout software to allow you to address agency revisions and final tweaks in-house.
When timelines are tight, we often suggest a collaborative approach—bringing in multiple designers to tag-team the work and stay ahead of last-minute changes.
If you’d like help with an upcoming project, feel free to send along boards, scripts, director, and schedule details—we’d be happy to get you set up with the right creative collaborator.
THE BETTERMENT SOCIETY STARTED IN 2011—BUILT BY:
-
Jason Bitner • Co-Founder • Chicago
For decades, Jason has had a sharp eye for creative talent—a skill that continues to power The Betterment Society in its fifteenth year.
From co-creating the international indie phenomenon FOUND Magazineto curating fifty writers and musicians for his anthology Cassette From My Ex (St. Martin’s Press), Jason has built a career on discovering authentic, original voices and putting them in the right context to do their best work.
That same instinct is now applied to The Betterment Society’s roster: a carefully assembled group of standout writers and designers, selected for both taste, inspiration and dependability.
He also produced Joe Beshenkovsky’s directorial debut, the feature documentary LaPorte, Indiana, based on his own found-photo book of the same name—a love letter to the Midwest, where he continues to live and raise his daughters.
His work has been featured in The New York Times, The Chicago Tribune, The A.V. Club, The Guardian, NPR, and The New Yorker.
